ᓄᓇ ᓱᕐᕋᑕᐅᔪᖅ

The Project involves the development of a run-of-river power plant about 10.3 km from the mouth of the Inukjuak River. At this point, the river is composed of four natural waterfalls, with a total height of 14.3 m spread over 2.7 km. The Project’s temporary and permanent infrastructure will be developed on Category I lands in the Northern Village of Inukjuak.

For the excavation of the spillway and the diversion canal to go forward, temporary and permanent storage areas will be necessary on the left bank of Inukjuak River.
The temporary storage area will be used to store construction materials and machinery and will have an area of 25,755 m2.
The permanent storage area will be used to store materials that will be excavated during the construction of the diversion canal and spillway, will have an area of 26,146 m2 and will store approximately 200,000 tonnes of aggregate.
