Description

The project involves the creation of depots for products covered by EPR, end-of-life tires and HHW. The sites are located close to a northern landfill to facilitate sorting.

Each site will consist of seven containers, adapted to the recovery of their respective residual materials, on a gravel platform measuring 21.34 x 15.24 metres and a gravel deposit area with a total surface area of 30.48 x 21.34 metres. Since the sites are far from the power grid, generators will be installed to provide site lighting and heating for the administration building. The generators will only be used during depot opening hours, i.e. about one day a week. The Aupaluk site should be close enough to the municipal garage to be hooked up to the existing power grid.

The depots will be located close to the existing road network. To reduce wear and tear on roads during material transfer, depots will be located next to existing northern landfills, except for the Aupaluk site.
