Description

With this request, the proponent wishes to crush nPAG and PAG waste rock at the Ivakkak mine site.
This request for amendment includes the following installations (Figure 2):
– A 32,85-m2 crushing platform
– A crusher
– A water collection ditch with a capacity of 25,828 m³
– A pumping station to redirect water from the collection ditch
– A 300-m clean water diversion ditch
– A 945-m access road to the crushing area
– A secondary 215-m access road
– A cement milk factory
CRI’s request also includes a 20,130-m2 expansion of the Ivakkak pit (bringing its total surface area to 90,530 m2), a 700,000-m3 increase in the capacity of the nPAG waste rock pile without increasing its surface area, the addition of a 175-m collection ditch in the wastewater treatment plant area, and the addition of a 1,745-m long electrical cable laid on the ground.
